“Being His Body”
Zion Church of Millersville
First & Second Weeks – Word & Worship Sunday
– We will gather at Zion for a Sunday like the ones we have known
– Sunday School classes for all ages & Nursery (9:00 AM)
– Service in the Sanctuary (10:15 AM)
– Communion usually on the first Sunday on each month
– Church Nursery & Kids Church during service
While being God’s Church is about more than just our physically assembling together, our gathering as one body is incredibly significant. For these weeks, we will experience our fellowship in Him through singing, prayer, teaching, preaching, and other ways.
Third Week – Sabbath Sunday
– We will practice a “sabbath” from our weekly meeting and will not gather at Zion
– There will not be a recorded sermon for the day
We are also the Church when we are dispersed outside of our church building, in our homes, neighborhoods, and communities, or wherever we are or go. For this week, we will experience the gift of time to be the Body of Christ in unique ways as we, together, rest from our corporate assembling.
Fourth Week – Church Family Sunday
– We gather at Zion for a special service with our whole church family together at 10:15 AM
– Sunday School meets at 9:00 AM
– Church Nursery will be provided for children ages 4 and under during worship
What a gift it is to have all the generations of God’s children together, worshipping as one and being built up into His Body. For this week, we will enjoy the richness of our entire church family gathering for a creative service to celebrate the goodness of our Father.
Fifth Week – Koinonia Sunday
– We will gather either as a church family or in small groups for a fellowship meal (sometimes at Zion, sometimes in homes, or sometimes at other locations)
– There will be a recorded sermon
One special way to experience being God’s family and living in His kingdom is to share in a meal together. For this week, we will deepen our understanding of our full unity (our “Koinonia”) in Jesus, remembering Him, as we gather to enjoy table fellowship.
