Greetings, Zion Church Family!
What a joy it was to see all of your faces and hear your voices in our Easter service video! We are SO looking forward to the day when we can all gather together again in person — what a special “greeting” time it will be on our first Sunday back. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you in the meantime, as we all continue to live through this unprecedented time.
In these days of distancing, we are finding ways to stay connected as a church family and to keep our eyes on Jesus. On Sundays, we will all continue to receive the pastoral emails and prayer list updates. In addition to that, we have found a great resource from our friends at The Bible Project called “Church at Home,” which they are making available during this time of quarantine. As we have been enjoying great Bible Project content in our Sunday School hour for quite some time now, this new resource is a perfect continuation to plug into while we are spending these weeks at home. So, that should nicely round out our Sunday communications! The “midweek musings” emails then provide us with thoughtful inspiration in between Sundays.
Below you will find the links for the weeks of the “Church at Home” Bible Project series that have already been released (they have published four weeks so far). Starting this coming Sunday, we will be sending out a weekly email with the newest post. These posts are very brief and simple and include the following:
- A short video
- A short audio message from Tim Mackie (one of the leaders of The Bible Project)
- 2-3 scripture readings
- Discussion questions
Hopefully, this will be an encouragement for all of us during this time, until we are able to meet again!
