Midweek Musings with Sandy

Our Midweek Musings message comes this week from Sandy Kissinger, who moved a few months ago to northwestern PA near some family.  Sandy often writes email replies in appreciation for the sermons and musings she hears and reads.  Below are Sandy’s own “musings” in two of those email responses, sent in May, which I am sure will bless you!
[We forward all messages replied to Zion’s emails to the people for whom they are intended.  Others of you also feel free to respond to our inspired writers and preachers with “reply” emails.]

Thank you, Matt!  I really enjoyed your words today, and I think of all the times my life has been interrupted. At times, I wondered about these interruptions, and at times, I was annoyed at them.  But as I grow older, I look forward to them and realize how important they are.  It’s at these times that I thank God for them as he lets me see the meaning of these interruptions. I love when my great grandkids, or as I call them, my “littles,” take time to call me just to talk and tell me what they’re doing. Or my friends call to tell me about their day. To me, it’s God’s way of telling me to slow down and look at the important things in life to cherish. Thank you again for a reminder of life’s lessons. May God bless you and your family!

I enjoyed your message, Erica, and, with what’s going on in the world, it has given me a different perspective on things and people. I have learned to look at life differently in this world.  At times, I wonder how other people in different parts of the world are handling things. I have always tried to be thankful and blessed by what God has given to me and my family, but in these times he has shown me how to appreciate more so many things that I thought were not so important. This past Saturday, I enjoyed spending the day with my granddaughter, Alex, and 2 of my great-grandchildren, Abel and Lucy, as we spent the day along the trails in the mountains of Elk county where I live now. I sat by a river and explained to Abel what a current in the river was and watched as he threw a twig in the river and saw it going with the current. To see the awe in him at this simple thing was something I will always treasure. I hope your family is doing great at this time as you are waiting for the birth of your new blessing. God is good!
Sandy sends her love to one and all!
