Midweek Musings with Mary H.

Hello Zion Friends.

It seems like a long while since we have been face to face. It will be interesting to see how everyone has journeyed through these last several months. What have we learned? What has God spoken to us? What did we learn about ourselves and our relationships?
Life changed more for some than others. Depending on the size of your family, and on your employment, some days may have gone faster than others. This has been a bit of a trial for all the extroverts out there. Enjoying the outdoors, planting flowers and reading have been sources of enjoyment for me.

I belong to a book club and recently read a book called Dear Edward, by Ann Napolitano. Edward is a 12-year-old sole survivor of a plane crash. After time passes, he asks, like many of us are, “What should I do next?” The answer he receives is this, which is what everyone needs to do: TAKE STOCK OF WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE HAVE, AND THEN USE IT FOR GOOD. This is not Christian fiction. It was loosely based on an actual crash. However, if we consider this advice as children of God, blessed with so much to give to a broken world, and ask God how to use His love for good — we will know what to do next.

Love, Mary Hanna
